Norway Best for Women, Yemen Worst: Survey Reveals Global Gender Gap
Norway is the country with the narrowest gender gap in the world, while
Yemen has the widest. A new global survey of equality between the sexes
reveals that despite near equal access to education and health care,
women are still way behind when it comes to political and economic
decision-making.

WENetwork Live Show Nov 8, 2008 Follow up by Betsey Merkel.
Categorized as Dialogue and Inclusion. Tagged with live show, live show topics and november. The Women of Judson Living
Yesterday's Live Show "2008 Presidential Campaign Issues: Growing the Economic Viability of Women" Part 2: Where Do We Go From Here, Mr. President?" was lively and interactive. You can watch the Live Show in its entirety on the Women's Enterprise Network broadcast channel.
In addition to our core group, we were joined by many Judson Living residents who brought incredible life experiences and insights. They included Mary Fuerst, Jay Calabretta, Claire Marsh, Dorothy Schade, Linda Horter, Sarah Livingston, Barbara Thatcher Williams and Ginny Becker.
Our Live Show offered a rich diversity of perspectives drawn from life long careers as home makers, to wives of dynamic business and armed service leaders, to health care and education industry professionals. Clear, sharp wits and pragmatic opinions based on, in some cases, nearly one hundred years of living. Our conversation illuminated a strong desire by everyone to stay connected to people, actively discuss contemporary challenges and continue to remain meaningful by contributing to society.
Sensitive to the recent American Presidential election, the conversation closed with a request to identify how can they help create change and identify their next steps to assist in rebuilding America.
Following the close of the Live Broadcast we discussed the future together. The women of Judson Living decided we would return in December to Judson Living and continue to focus on what our next steps are for Education, Transportation and Health care.
We'll be posting the conversation transcription soon and video to You Tube shortly. Watch this News tab for updates.
