Live Show Topic Suggestion: What is the most enterprising thing you've done?Posted by Betsey Merkel. |
I just recieved a phone call from Judson Park resident, Claire Marsh. Claire called today to remind us of how much she enjoyed the WENetwork August 9th Live Show. She said she has made new connections and has a regular visiting friend and fellow Judson Park resident nearly every day.
Claire is an early adopter when it comes to trying out new experiences. Claire participated in our Inaugural Live Show at Judson Park in June 2008 and has been active ever since.
Claire suggested we address the question, "What is the most enterprising thing you have done?" as a topic for an upcoming Live Show. She would like to participate in the Sept 13th Live Show at the Cleveland Heights Library and bring her daughter, a Cleveland resident, to be a part of the WENetwork activity.
Claire's professional experience is as a nurse. She described the enterprising highlights of her life to include: experiencing many different regions in the United States acquired through job placement and her willingness to try new things. One position brought her to Houston, TX as Head of Nursing for the Psychiatric Hedgecroft Hospital. After many new and different jobs, she opened her own practice in Fortworth, TX.
The technique of going around the room and having participants introduce themselves as a part of the process for conversation used in the Live Shows, reminds her of group therapy.
While at Judson, she has taken up painting, something she set off to do at college, but ended up studying something else at the time. Claire feels she's come full circle!
